Description

Sathya is pregnant with twins when race riots erupt across the enchanted island she calls home. She had revelled in her idyllic childhood in the Ceylon of the sixties and met Bahu, the love of her life, in the new Sri Lanka of the seventies but neither of them can foresee the events that will soon rip apart their country and break their hearts and shatter their lives. Sathya is catapulted into a terrifying world where Tamil Tigers wage war in the north and Sinhala subversives fight in the south threatening the lives of those who are most precious to her.
