ENGLISH FIRST is a comprehensive and stimulating English course for classes 1 to 5. Designed by a team of experienced teachers, this multi skill course aims to develop not just language competency but core values like tolerance, patience, care for others and concern for the environment. To add variety to the child’s understanding of language, English First uses several kinds of text like poems, plays, letters and pages from a diary. The suplementary reader ‘Read and Enjoy’ included in the coursebook makes reading for enjoyment part of the main study and avoids the need for a burdensome additional, literary reader. The workbook serves as an extension of the coursebook and gives additional practice in comprehension, vocabulary, grammer and writing.
