Description

"Paritta is a chanting of Buddha Vacana – Buddhist texts (Buddhist Discourses) to invoke blessings to ward off illness and danger to individuals and also for the weal and welfare of the world. Paritta, through security is sought, is regarded as a safeguard against fear and malady. It is somewhat similar achievement to the incantations and invocations practiced in other religions. Almost all of these paritta discourses have been introduced by the Buddha himself.
