www.books.lk is a 100% Sri Lankan venture aimed primarily at the Sri Lankan market. We offer the largest selection of books across subjects and assure safe methods of payment and prompt delivery.
2. Does www.books.lk offer products other than books?
Currently we offer only books and magazines, music CD’s and DVD’s but we plan to add other items at a later stage.
3. From where are the books sourced?
Our books are sourced from a varied supplier base mainly from overseas and locally too.
Buying books from our website is very easy: all you have to do is click on BUY next to the book, choose your payment method, clarify your shipping address and place your order. Once you finish this process you automatically become a member.
5. Can I order by phone ?
Yes you can.
6. How do you confirm that you have correctly registered my order?
Upon receiving your order and payment details, we will send you an email confirming your order with us.
7. Can I check the status of my order?
Yes, you can check the status online by logging in to your customer area .
8. How do I contact you with regard to my order?
You may contact us by email at inquiry@books.lk When contacting us regarding your order, please mention the order number.
9. Can I cancel my order?
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing the order on our site and after that it may not be possible as we would have immediately placed your orders with our suppliers.
10. Can I order a product not on your booklist?
If your desired product is not on our product list, you may send us your suggestions through our Contact us Form. We will try to accommodate your request as best as possible.
11. Do you sell magazine subscriptions?
Yes we do.
12. What do I do if my order doesn’t arrive?
If your order does not arrive on a stipulated date, please contact us as soon as possible to trace your package.

E-Gift Voucher
How do I purchase e-Gift Voucher?
Click on the e-Gift Voucher tab and select the denomination in which you wish to gift your loved ones. It could be purchased in multiples.
How will the e-Gift Voucher be sent to the recipient?
It will be emailed to the recipient and may include a personal note or greetings from you.
The email address of the recipient and your personal note/greetings should be stated in the COMMENTS box.
How do I redeem my e-Gift voucher?
Simply enter the Coupon No. on your e-Gift Voucher in the COUPON CODE box at checkout.
What is the expiry period for my e-Gift Voucher?
e-Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the time of purchase.
What may I purchase from the e-Gift voucher?
You may purchase any products on our site, other than another e-Gift Voucher.
Do I have to redeem the full value of my e-Gift Voucher?
The value of the e-Gift Voucher has to be fully utilized at the time of redemption.
There will be no cash refund of balance in the event a purchase is made for less than the value of the e-Gift Voucher.
In the event a purchase is made for more than the value of the e=Gift Voucher, the balance to be paid by cash at the point of delivery.

14. Can I pay with any credit card?
Currently we accept Visa, Mastercard and debit cards. We don’t accept Amex, or Paypal.
15. How secure is my credit card?
Your credit card numbers and details are added to our banks site, which is secure and encrypted.
17. Do you confirm that my payment has been accepted?
As soon as your credit card payment has been accepted, you will receive a system generated e-mail confirming that the transaction has been successfully processed.

18. Are the items dispatched as displayed on the webpage?

19. Where can you deliver to?
We deliver to all cities in Sri Lanka.
20. Do you deliver outside Sri Lanka?
Yes, but this will incur a courier cost which depends on the weight of books and the country. Please contact us for more details.
21. How long will delivery take after the payment has been made?
Delivery normally takes between 2-21 days. However, in certain instances where the book is not available with our regular suppliers, it may take upto 45 days.
22. What is the mode of delivery?
We use a reliable courier company for the delivery.

23. Can I edit my customer profile?
You can edit your profile by logging into your account and following directions.
24. What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, just go to the link Forgot password and follow the directions. You will receive your new password by email.
25. How can I qualify for a discount?
Currently, there are no specific discount schemes available. We may consider a discount for bulk purchases, on a case by case basis.

27. Can I submit a book review?
We will be happy to receive book reviews which may be published on our website after editorial approval.
